Lorna McFall is a Freelance UI/ UX Designer based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.Having graduated with a First with Distinction in BDes (hons) Animation Degree, she initially worked within the Children’s Animation Industry at Sixteen South before reskilling into the Games Industry via Northern Ireland Screen.At Lovewish Games she grew from being a Part Time Junior Game Developer to becoming the Full Time Studio Head of their Northern Ireland Division, Studio Witchstar.She has since completed the UI & UX Design for several projects. Her published titles include 'Paleo Pines' and ‘Live by the Sword: Tactics’. Within one year Studio Witchstar published 'The Final Farewell' and 'Anchored Hearts: A Tale of Destiny' which she is credited as Creative Director. Mostly recently released was the award winning 'The Séance of Blake Manor', which Metacritic rated #11 in The 20 Best PC Games of 2025.In her 5 years within the games industry she has experience across 13 projects with a range of clients types, being tasked from creating the entirety of the UI art from concept to final assets, to designing the user flow cases from wireframes to prototypes based on user research and play test results.In addition Lorna has experience in tutoring and training others wishing to enter the field. She has presented talks and ran full day workshops for Northern Ireland Screen, Ardán, Next Gen Skills Academy, as well as Ulster University; teaching a range of topics including entering the Games Industry, UI Design and UX Design, Accessibility, Freelancing, as well as Sustainable Studio Management.
